Tastings and guided tours
Unique products from a family-run wineryThe winery’s tasting room is hosted in the historic Palazzo Brunoro. The room was once used as a wine cellar of which you can still admire the perfectly preserved ancient barrels. The bare Biancone stone, typical of this area, is a natural decoration that warms the atmosphere. Tables made from old barrels contribute to the unique tasting experience. From here you can access the old wine cellar that has hosted the Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brotherhood since 1946. It is breath-taking and unique in its kind in Italy. The large park is the perfect setting for pleasant tastings in the open air, while the upper floor features a small museum of winemaking tools used over the years.
Since 7 July 2019, our marvellous hills are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
About us
The Varaschin winery was founded in San Pietro di Barbozza around 1930 by MatteoVaraschin, one of the “fathers” of winegrowing in Valdobbiadene, who passed on his oenological “art” to his sons Luigi and Renzo and later to Orfeo and all his grandchildren.
History...The wine cellar
The ancient wine cellar was used for the ageing of wines in bottle. The constant temperature and the absence of light ensured perfect ageing. Traces of the wooden crates that contained the bottles are still clearly visible on the floor.Limited edition LEGENDS
